  • Sean  Hanna

    Sean is the founding publisher of InvestmentWires. Prior to 1997, he was an editor at New York City-based IOMA (now a part of BNA) where he oversaw IOMA's DC Plan Investing, the first publication to exclusively cover the 401(k) industry in 1992. He has spoken at industry conferences as an expert on the financial services industry, made appearances on CNBC and been quoted in numerous financial publications, including Money Magazine and the Wall Street Journal. He studied history at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Sean is responsible for all content appearing on 401kWire.



  • Neil  Anderson

  • Contributing Editor
    Before joining InvestmentWires, Neil worked as a string reporter for Suburban News Publications in Columbus, Ohio, where he covered local schools and politics. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Williams College. While at Williams, he wrote for and edited the campus humor magazine, The Mad Cow, and he wrote for The Williams Record. Neil is primarily responsible for the day-to-day editorial oversight of 401kWire's sister publication, MFWire. He also covers new entrants to the DC I-O space.



  • Valeria  Piantoni

    Valeria is a Columbia Graduate School of Journalism student interested in business and finance reporting. She previously worked for the Global Media Relations division at the European Central Bank. She holds a bachelor's degree in communications and a master's degree in economics and political science from the University of Milan. Valeria supports the 401kWire editorial and research team.

    Madison is a senior Communication Studies major at Pace University, with a double minor in Journalism and History. She is a member of the Pforzheimer Honors College, works as a staff write for the Pace Press, and publishes as an editorial intern for YourTango. She is completing a senior thesis centralized in the topics of news consumption, media literacy, and partisan affiliation. Madison supports the 401kWire editorial and research team.
